Grandpa Remembers Winter
Cover design for the children’s book I illustrated for Crimson Cloak Publishing company. I wanted the cover to feel like it was past and present at the same time. I also wanted to bring the focus to the center characters. Playing with color on gray scale helped me to achieve the desired effect. Created on Bristol paper with Copic Marker.
"Sis was nervous"
This scene is a page from the children’s book “Grandpa Remembers Winter” that I illustrated for Crimson Cloak Publishing. The snowsuit was a challenge for me because I had to find a way to create shape where there wouldn’t be. I loved the end result as it is true to clothing styles of the time, while still being fun and playful. Created on Bristol paper and Copic Markers.
"We all loved the kitten"
This page is from a childrens book I illustrated called “Grandpa Remembers Winter”. The book takes place in the 1950’s and I did my best not only to capture the fashion of the era, but the feel as well. I wanted the reader to feel like they had just walked into a cozy home where this little kitten would be safe. The lace work is an original pattern hand drawn. Created on Bristol paper with Copic and Kuritake markers.
This illustration was done for a Young Adult book “The Guardian's Guide to Complete Dragon Care”. I had the pleasure of bringing Garson the Dragon to life through illustration. Created with AutoDesk Sketchbook on Samsung Tablet. 2018
“Dreamer” is my first 3D Paper Art piece. It was created for a Harry Potter themed art show at the Perky Nerd, 2017. I wanted to use paper to give the piece more depth, and while it isn’t my greatest strength, it was a fantastic learning experience and one of my favorite show pieces.
I was incredibly touched to be able to create this piece for a 2 time breast cancer survivor. It was a commissioned piece ordered by her niece as a motivational poster to encourage her while she healed from her mastectomy. It was created using Paint.net and Photoshop. 2017
Spy Themed Prom
In 2016 I was commissioned by a High School in Florida to design their Prom Invitations for that year. It was an amazing project and the Senior Advisor, as well as the students, were pleased with the outcome.
Commissioned piece drawn for a client at Comic Con Revolutions in Ontario, California. Drawn using Kuratake and Copic markers. May 2018
Wizarding themed baby shower invitations created for a client in 2015. This was a very interesting project and I enjoyed the challenge of taking something super nerdy and making it look “high class”. Created in Photoshop.
June of 2018 Brian Kesinger issued a “Draw This In Your Style” challenge using his original characters Otto and Victoria. While I was not a finalist in the challenge I did enjoy getting to work with his creations and add my own twist to them. Bristol Paper with Copic Markers.

This was a logo square created for a couple who commissioned me to design their wedding invitations from overseas. Their theme was classic Fairytale/Sleeping Beauty. Designed in Photoshop. 2014
Layout for a Fairytale/Sleeping Beauty themed wedding I worked on in 2014. The bride and groom were getting married in the UK and commissioned me to create all of their invitations, save the dates, and programs, as well as table numbers, pub quiz’s and their personal Fairytale story for the reception. Created in Photoshop. 2014
This reception card was commissioned by a couple married in the UK to announce their US Wedding Reception. I carried colors from their wedding invitations over into the reception card to keep a cohesive feeling to the designs. Designed in Photoshop. 2014
