October always seems to be a busier than usual month for us, for me, we have the usual Halloween fun, but I also am co-chair of the Trunk or Treat at our church and we celebrate 5 family birthdays in October. One of those birthdays is that of my daughter who turned 6 this year. I had hoped to participate in the Stan Lee Comic Con, but was just shy of a table on the waitlist. It was a good learning experience although I would be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed. I DID however get my submission in for the Perky Nerd October show which had an X-Men theme. I'll post pictures of the item later, but it was a challenging piece, all be it a fun one. Now I get ready for the oncoming Thanksgiving/Christmas crazy which I always love, and then comes a new year with new conventions and opportunities.

I have not yet met my end of October deadline for the children's book I am illustrating, but I am still hopeful that it could possibly be done early November. This has been a real push of creativity for me, and I have loved every minute of it. I get to be part of another world for a little bit each day as I work on illustrations. The characters are close to my heart and I can't wait to see it paired with the wonderful story that Will Matlack has written.

As far as the upcoming holidays are concerned I will have some stuff available for sale, as well as some deals on apparel and more. Keep your eyes peeled for information here!

Until next time.
